Who Is Eligible?

Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs

RHE’s Public Housing, Tenant Based Voucher Program and Project Based Voucher Program is limited to low-income families and individuals at or below 50% of the Area Median Income. RHE determines  eligibility based on:

  1. Annual gross income and asset value for the household (using income limits developed by HUD based on household size);
  2. U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status;
  3. Applicants ability to provide social security numbers for all members of the household; and
  4. All household members age 18 or over are willing to sign consent authorization documents to enable RHE to verify income and other information.
  5. Other eligibility criteria as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and detailed in the Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan and Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy.
