Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program

Rockville Housing Enterprises encourages its residents to learn about the benefits of homeownership and to pursue it as a worthwhile goal. To assist with this RHE offers credit and homeownership counseling, credit report analysis, budget development and information on the many City of Rockville and Montgomery County programs that are available to first time homebuyers. In particular, if you have a Housing Choice rental voucher, RHE welcomes residents’ participation in the Homeownership Housing Choice Voucher Program. This program allows the continued use of the voucher for 15 years after the purchase of a home in the City of Rockville.

Please note, to utilize the Housing Choice Voucher homeownership option, voucher participants must be utilizing a Rockville Housing Enterprises issued voucher. Portability voucher clients are not eligible for the voucher homeownership program at RHE. However, portability voucher clients may utilize the voucher homeownership option at their initial PHA, if offered, in accordance with their initial PHA’s policies.
